What is natural pregnancy?

Natural pregnancy is the method in which the mother and the fetus get natural prenatal and post natal care. The constitution of women’s bodies is naturally designed to withstand the rigors of child birth. They are also well prepared physically, mentally and biologically to undergo the strains of pregnancy terms without the aid of external and artificial support. In anything, the body expects to have a general state of well being and that can be achieved by giving the body and mind, natural therapy and medication. There are three aspects to a natural pregnancy and they are – Physical wellbeing, psychological wellbeing and natural birthing.

Physical wellbeing: During pregnancy, the body and the fetus needs a lot of liquids, nourishment for sustenance and growth and exercise. During earlier times, the regular diet of the people had enough nutrients to sustain and enhance growth of the baby, along with the nourishment for the mother. Their life styles also involved lots of physical work like cleaning, walking washing, etc., which gave the body a natural mode of exercise. Modern day life styles do not include physical work in their scopes, so, it is necessary to give the body adequate exercise and natural supplements for nourishment.
